The project focused on a school (Zaabil high school for girls) with more than 35 years of history that was vacated in late 2011 with no sign of recovery or maintenance. The school was filmed by Emirati talent Ammar Al Attar in an attempt to document this historical school through using analogue and digital photography techniques. This comes as there have been signs that the place is set to get demolished or converted into an all new high-rise building.
Al Attar's photography process was documented by Emarati film producer Hassan Kiyany of Kiyany Media and was converted into UAE's first Interactive documentary Film Zaabilidoc which was showcased during the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
The interactive film was showcased to local, international media personnel and people got to experience UAE’s first interactive film in an intuitive and interactive form
